Website Design for Flower Preservation Studios
Bespoke websites for flower preservation, pressed floral, and heirloom bloom studios, custom designed to hold the emotional weight of what you actually do, and built to convert both couples and industry partners.
This is not a florist website
If you preserve flowers for a living, you already know that most "florist website designers" don't quite understand what you do. They assume you're selling bouquets on subscription. They design like your business is a shop with a delivery zone.
But flower preservation is a fundamentally different business. Your customer isn't buying flowers, she's preserving a memory. A wedding bouquet she carried down the aisle. Her grandmother's funeral spray. The arrangement from her daughter's first bridal shower. The flowers she can't bear to watch die in a vase.
The website you need has to hold that. It has to speak to the emotional reality of what a preserved bloom actually is, a keepsake, a memorial, a piece of a specific day that will never happen again.
And it has to do that while also running the operational side of a real preservation business: intake, shipping-in flowers from anywhere in the country, timeline expectations, product variants across frames and resin blocks and shadow boxes, care instructions, wholesale and referral tiers for the wedding industry professionals who send you clients.
Most florist templates can't do this. Most florist-focused designers don't think about it.
But we do.
What we actually build in
-
Two-audience navigation
Your site needs to convert both direct customers (brides, family members preserving meaningful flowers) and industry partners (wedding planners, florists, event professionals who recommend you). These are different customers with different questions. We architect the navigation so each finds what they need without one confusing the other.
-
Intake and shipping flow
Preservation clients need to ship you their flowers. That's a genuinely different customer journey than any other floral business. We build the intake flow to feel calming rather than clinical and how to pack the flowers, when to send them, what timeline to expect, what to do if the wedding was months ago and they saved everything already.
-
Product variants that reflect what you actually make
Frames in different sizes and orientations, resin blocks of different depths, shadow boxes, custom pieces. We build product architecture that shows the range of what you do without overwhelming a customer who's already emotionally invested in getting it right.
-
Trade and wholesale portals
For the wedding planners, florists, and industry pros who send you clients — separate pages, custom pricing visibility, referral tracking, sample requests. Your industry relationships are half your business. We build the site to nurture them.
-
Editorial-grade photography treatment
Preserved florals photograph very differently from fresh arrangements. Everything is smaller, more detailed, more textural. We design around your imagery — full-bleed hero moments, considered close-ups, room to breathe. Your work is intricate; the site treats it that way.
-
A story-forward brand experience
The preservation industry lives on emotional resonance more than any other floral business. We design sites that feel like your brand voice — whether that's editorial, romantic, minimalist, or something else entirely. Not templated. Not interchangeable. Yours.
Vancuterie: Flower Pressing Studio, Vancouver, WA
Daphne founded Vancuterie around the art of flower preservation, pressing blooms into keepsakes, art pieces, and bridal work. She needed a Shopify store that could hold the beauty and craft of her work while functioning as a serious e-commerce business.
In the two years since we built the website Vancuterie has outgrown the direct-consumer model and are expanding into commercial and wholesale, and we're working with them again on the site that reflects that next chapter.
The site has scaled with the business. 90% of their business now comes through the website. Vancuterie has also collaborated with Tom Ford Beauty and received the PNW Weddings Excellence Award, recognitions that speak to how the brand is now perceived in its market.
"She did not just design my website; she immersed herself in understanding the flower preservation world and its unique needs. She crafted a site that is not only highly functional but also a perfect reflection of the beauty and artistry of flower pressing, and my personal style."
— Daphne Anderson, Owner, Vancuterie

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Both, honestly, the right platform depends on your business model. If you sell packaged preservation products (specific frame sizes, resin blocks at set prices) with real e-commerce volume, Shopify is usually the right answer. If your work is more custom and inquiry-based (each piece quoted individually, more consultation-heavy), Squarespace is often a better fit. We'll help you figure out which one makes sense on the discovery call.
-
Every preservation studio's intake process is slightly different, so we build this to fit yours specifically. That usually includes a clear "start your preservation" page walking through what to send, how to pack it, when to send it, and what to expect. We can integrate with shipping label generation, timeline notifications, or intake forms whatever your operation actually needs.
-
Yes. This is one of the specific things we design for on preservation studio sites. Depending on your model, that can look like password-protected trade pages, referral tracking, sample request forms, custom pricing visibility, or dedicated partner intake flows.
-
Almost entirely different customer psychology. A florist site is transactional (buy flowers, deliver them). A preservation site is emotional (preserve something irreplaceable). Different photography treatment, different navigation flow, different intake process, different trust-building work. We treat them as separate specialties.
-
Yes. We're based in the greater Seattle area, but preservation studios across the country and internationally are welcome. Our whole process is designed to feel personal whether you're across town or across an ocean.

Investment starts at $4,500 for a bespoke build. What moves the number up: complex intake flows, trade/wholesale portal functionality, migration from another platform, and combined brand identity work.

We don't shoot photography ourselves, but preserved florals require a specific photography approach and we can recommend photographers who understand the work if you don't already have someone. Preserved-floral photography is genuinely a specialty and getting the depth, texture, and lighting right takes someone who's done it before.
