Website Design for Somatic Practitioners
Designed to hold the actual depth of what you do, and the specific way your clients find you.
Custom website & brand design for somatic bodyworkers, breathwork practitioners, somatic experiencing therapists, energy workers, and embodied healers
A different kind of practice needs a different kind of website
If you work with the body, breath, and nervous system for a living, you already know most website designers don't quite get what you do. Your practice lives in a different space.
Your clients don't find you like any other service based clients . They find you after they've read a book about trauma living in the body, after a friend mentioned that breathwork changed something they couldn't name, after they've tried talk therapy and something in them knew they needed something else. They land on your website already curious, already searching, already asking the specific question you're built to answer.
The website you need has to meet them there. Not clinical. Not spiritual-generic. Not therapy-template-with-a-different-color-palette. A digital space that reflects the actual quality of embodied work, the steadiness, the specificity, the care.
That's the kind of site we build.
What we actually build in
Every somatic practitioner website we build is designed around the specific realities of embodied work:
-
Modality clarity without modality jargon
Your clients aren't looking up modality names in a glossary. Your site needs to explain what you actually do in language that lands emotionally, without stripping the technical depth that establishes your credibility with clients who already know what they're looking for. This is the hardest copy problem in somatic practice websites and most sites get it wrong. We spend real time on it.
-
Session-type architecture that respects your work
Somatic sessions aren't interchangeable widgets. A 90-minute somatic experiencing session with a returning client is a different thing than a 60-minute breathwork intro for someone who's never done this before. We build session-type pages that hold each offering distinctly, with the specific information a client needs to know they've found the right entry point.
-
Booking and inquiry flows that fit your practice
Some practitioners want direct online booking. Some want inquiry forms so they can screen for fit. Some want a hybrid — direct booking for returning clients, inquiry-based intake for new ones. We build whichever flow matches how you actually practice, not whichever one a template defaulted to.
-
A story-led About page that builds trust before the sales page appears
Somatic clients decide whether to work with you based on trust. They want to be understood. How you write, how you show up, what you understand about the specific thing they're carrying, everything counts. Your About page is often more important than your services page in this niche. We treat it that way.
-
Content architecture that supports being found for your modality
Somatic practitioners get found through very specific searches, something like "somatic experiencing therapist near me," "breathwork practitioner online," "trauma-informed bodywork," specific modality names. We build your site's structure so the searches your clients are actually running lead them to your door.
-
A visual system that reflects the tone of your practice
Earth tones and beige textures are the default for anyone adjacent to the wellness space. Your practice deserves a visual system that reflects your specific tone, whether that's editorial and quiet, grounded and warm, or something else entirely. We design around what you do, not around the wellness-website aesthetic default.
Featured project: Barbara Stamis, Somatic Bodyworker & Breathwork Practitioner
Barbara Stamis is a somatic bodyworker and breathwork practitioner whose practice sits at the intersection of body, breath, and nervous system, the kind of embodied work that doesn't translate easily to a therapist template and doesn't need to shout to be trusted.
When Barbara came to us, she'd been running her business on a DIY site for close to 15 years, a site that had scaled with her from her early Pilates-rooted work into her current practice as a somatic bodyworker and breathwork practitioner. Her business had outgrown what DIY could hold, but more than that, her work had evolved into something the old site couldn't articulate. She needed a website that would carry her forward, not one more version of trying to build it herself.
In her own words:
Barbara wrote about the experience in a piece on her Substack titled It Was Never Just a Website. Some of what she shared:
The design process became, in her words, "less transaction and more excavation", a way of clarifying not just her website, but her offers, her message, and her voice.
The clarity of the new site changed how she shows up in her practice and in conversations about her work, a quiet confidence that came from having somewhere she was proud to send people.
The years of DIY had given her the illusion of control, but the level of care she was chasing wasn't achievable on her own. Saying yes to a designer, in her framing, was letting go of that illusion.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Very likely yes. The somatic and embodied practice world is genuinely broad, and we've come to appreciate the range. Whether you practice a well-known modality (breathwork, somatic experiencing, craniosacral) or something more specific to your training and lineage, we're happy to build for it. Our job is to understand your work well enough to translate it to a site.
-
Yes. Copywriting for somatic practices is genuinely difficult and it needs to come from you. You need to communicate the depth of what you do without either over-clinicalizing it or dismissing its rigor. This is one of the more common places we spend real time with clients during strategy phase. If you already have copy that works for you, we build around it. If you don't, we help you develop it.

Almost everything about the reader's journey is different. Traditional therapist site visitors are often symptom-searching ("therapist for anxiety near me"). Somatic clients are often modality-searching or approach-searching ("somatic experiencing therapist," "breathwork practitioner"). Different queries, different landing intent, different questions the site needs to answer, different tone that establishes trust. We design for the somatic version of that reader specifically.
-
Yes. We're based in the greater Seattle area but a lot of our somatic practitioner work is with clients across the country. Our whole process is designed to feel personal whether you're across town or across an ocean.

Investment starts at $3,500 for a bespoke Squarespace build. What moves the number up: extensive session-type architecture, migration from another platform, copywriting support and combined brand identity work.
